Remember that our children ARE our future. They WILLbe in charge when we are getting older and weaker and we will at some point be relying on THEM for our own welfare...what goes around really does come back around.

This is called common sense I believe. I think 'most' parents do put their children first. It just comes out of instinct to want the very best for our children. Kinda like this...we as parents wish our children have a better childhood than we did as kids.
Kids learn respect, morals, values, and manners from us parents. :)
